To get the trany to shift harder you have to get rid of the overlap in the
shifts

( second gear applying while first is still engaged ). To do this you need
to get
the gear that you are in to release sooner. Drilling larger holes in certain
places lets more fluid go to the piston to release it sooner. If you get the
hole
to big you will get it to release to soon and get gear flash up ( no over lap
and
rpm flash up until the next clutch pack engages ) this will not hurt any
thing
but it will make the shift a little mushy. When your building a trany from
the
ground up you will put heavier springs in the clutch packs to make the
clutches
apply harder and also replace any wave steels in the packs with another
clutch or
steel ( the wave steels soften the shift ).
I am going to post step by step info on the transgo install in a few weeks
and
also info on what each modification will do and why.
Hey I spelled shift correctly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
