Mike,
I took a look at some of the V-6 TB's at the salvage yard this past weekend
and they pretty much look like the same TB castings as the V-8's. The only
difference
I could see (need to remember that my looks were very casual) was the
throttle plates. The V-8's all share the same bore diameter (approx. 1.980
inch) and use a
Holly #11 plate. The V-6's use a Holly #12 plate (I did not measure the bore
diameter). There is a significant difference in the bore diameter between
the two and I
would imagine you would need to open up the V-6 manifold to accept the V-8
TB. I think that you could either open up the V-6 to the V-8 size or use a
V-8, the
results would pretty much be the same.....
