[Fwd: popping noise]

I had that popping noise from day one and took it in twice with the same
results, none. The popping came and went at will, until I found out how
to make it happen on demand and give a service manager a ride to hear
it. They installed the cab/rad bolts AND found the right lower control
arm bolt loose by about 1 turn. After that, I haven't heard a single
pop. About 2 weeks or so, even when I try to make it pop. I found that
backing to a stop with the wheels cut to the right, it would pop loud
and often. Hope this helps. Alan S.

Well.... I finally started getting the popping noise from my cab upon fast
right turns up an inclined driveway... took it to the dealer to get the cab
bolts replaced and he said my vehicle was unaffected from the recall (98 CC
V8 built in April 98) but that he would check it out anyway...of course he
didn't find anything...and even had the nerve to suggest the noise was
coming from the CDs in the console...the nerve!!!
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone out there got this problem fixed and how
did they fix it...?

Thanx,
