Bruce, you might want to get the bolts replaced anyway or do it
yourself, the mechanic said the tsb warned against useing air tools to
remove the bolts because they are so fragile that they could break just
backing them out. Mine didn't break and they looked no different from
the ones they re-installed. Just a thought. Alan S.

Brian,
whose your dealer? Cal Worthington? Im not on the recall list either, (98
CCR/T) but my cab pops like mad! Complain as if its a warranty complaint
and they will have to fix it. Cal seemed like a goer over the phone but I
havnt had time to bring it in yet!

Subject: DML: popping noise
Well.... I finally started getting the popping noise from my cab upon fast
right turns up an inclined driveway... took it to the dealer to get the cab
bolts replaced and he said my vehicle was unaffected from the recall (98 CC
V8 built in April 98) but that he would check it out anyway...of course he
didn't find anything...and even had the nerve to suggest the noise was
coming from the CDs in the console...the nerve!!!
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone out there got this problem fixed and how
did they fix it...?
Thanx,
Brian
