Alan, Got the TransGo kit installed here and have the same problem except mine
is the 1-2 shift. When I first installed it I opted for the max shift and
believe me you don't want it. Felt like whip lash and can't believe the drive
train would hold up very long. If you were on it hard it wasn't so bad (hard
shift, tire screech) but mid throttle take off was like hitting reverse for a
sec. I put one of the check balls back in to soften the shift. Better. What I do
for the strip is disconnect the TV cable from the TBI and clamp it (gator clip)
out about a 1/2" and shift with the B/M floor shift. This lets the tranny think
your foot isn't to the floor and shifts when you do it manually. Really helped
on getting me down to the lower 13's. Another $.02 worth.
