My 93 Dakota V6 4x4 auto with 96,000 miles has an acceleration problem.
Lately it seems like I have to push down on the gas pedal farther to get
going from a stop. I test drove a 94 Dakota V6 with 75,000 miles on it to
compare how far I have to push down on the gas pedal, and this Dakota was
very responsive. My truck doesnt burn and oil and the gas mileage is still
the same, but its like my truck takes a long time to get going. Past 25-30
mph acceleration is fine, and over 50 its great. Is my first gear going in
my tranny??? I have always changed the tranny fluid, gasket, and filter
every 25-30,000 miles. When the truck shifts at like 15-20 I can tell its
there cause it shifts hard and solid. SO the tranny isnt slipping. I have
heard by about adjusting the kickdown cable but this really leads to other
problems. Any suggestions???
