We're thinking of putting up a Morton building which (amoung
many other things) would become my Dak's new garage/work area, so
we were at a farm a few miles from my house which is having one put
up, just to take a look at the construction and such. I don't
know wether it was the owner of the farm or just a worker, but a
guy saw my Dak parked beside the building and said:
"Why do you have traction bars on there? Dodge's don't have
enough a** to spin the tires, do they?"
I moved several steps closer and said:
"What was that?" :-)
He repeated his question, so I just nodded at my truck and said:
"14.58 at 93mph..." [At this point, his eyebrows arched a bit.]
"A friend of mine with an almost identical truck and a nitrous kit runs
12's. Mostly, I just got the traction bars to save my rearend; I've
already ripped it out once." His response: "Well, I've gotta get goin'..."
:-)
