stumble across this black Z28 (newer one) and then upon a blue one! OH JOY!
The blue one blows me off to run with the black one, he obviously had no
clue! I thought the hood and exhaust would give me away, but some just don't
believe till all they see is tailgate! The black one just didn't want to play
for too long, he got wooped! The blue one had some work done to it so I was a
little nervous as he pulled along side of me! Definitely had exhaust work
along with headers.
As he pulled along side he got a good earful of Dakbark, and that's all it
took. He spurred the Z's throttle and what was that? A 6 spd car? Tee Hee!
We jumped while I was at about 2800 in second, not my cherry spot by any
means, and we stayed close into third then he slowly pulled on me. PISSED!
This car is definately a mid 13 second car. The light a block up turns red
and we stop. The guy is cocky and is bowing to me! As if to say, cant touch
this! Uh hu! Opposite light turns yellow and the R's go up! I know this
light well and time it for the jump. I know he's going. I know he thinks
he's wining. Green light we jump and I pull a fender, shift, full cab, shift,
another foot and holding, dump into fourth and back out and pull down my
street! Don't want to be late and make the boss mad! We're having a
DaimlerChrysler Day One celebration tonight! Might just need to get a Grand
Caravan soon. Wink-Wink! I'll always keep the Dak though. One more modified Z
in my belt. =0Þ
If we would have gone from a roll while I was at about 3200 then I would
have had him. As for now, he got me on that, but Ill get that back next time
we meet. As for the old drop and shoot? He's all mine!
