Hi, everybody. In the January 99 issue of Sport Truck magazine that is
on sale now, there is a Reader Rides Shootout. One of the trucks is a
92 Dakota Club Cab with a 340-4bbl motor, '85 4spd tranny (manual),
and a Pro-Finish ram air hood. The guy who owns the truck owns
Pro-Finish and its a pretty slick looking setup for the ram air. The
scoops are nice and the airbox setup looks pretty cool.
The truck ran high 13s in the quarter during the test, and they said
it was having major traction problems. The article mentioned that it
had a 150 horse nitrous system, but I don't know if they were using
it. It also said the truck should get low 13s with bite. Power was
estimated to be about 375 horse. Not too bad.
Just thought you older-gen guys might like the article! Have a good
one :-D
