I'm all for another Patrick on the list. The fact that it's another Ram owner
just makes it even better. :) I think I rather would be in Alaska, but, I'm
still here in (hot) sunny Bradenton, FL.

My poor Ram ran into a slight twist of fate over this Thanksgiving weekend..

Went out to the track 3 weeks ago, crummy conditions, had trouble with
detonation, but still ran consistant mid 14s @ 97-98mph with the boost retard
on 1.5deg per lb of boost which is an unusually high ignition retard curve for
my truck. Something isn't right.

Then, this previous Saturday night, I line up against a '96ish Eclipse GS-T
equipped with nitrous. I take off, he spins, I spin, my truck's running great
this brisk night, and I end up winning, only to race him (on the squeeze) on
another road from a roll....

Well, on the second run at the top of third gear one of my head gaskets
decided to say they've had enough and then here comes all this coolant up in
the mix.. I pull up unexpectingly, notice a slight misfire, look in my
rearview and... whoops! There's enough white smoke coming out of my exhaust to
completely cover this rice burner from anyone's sight :/ This made me retire
my truck a tad bit early. I Should have the heads off and know what's really
going on by this weekend. Hopefully I can use this as an excuse to put more
cool stuff in my truck. :)

Next step while the heads are off??

decisions... decisions...
