You just took me back to when I was 17, with a stock (still had steel intake
& exhaust manifolds, Carter AVS carb) '68 Charger 383 4bbl, 4 speed running
green Av-gas & LOTS of ignition lead... I took on a 45+ year old with a
(then new) '86 'Vette that he paid $26,000 for... I had $1500 in my car...
took him from a stoplight (real bad, too...) and then he wanted to hit the
highway... I have 3.23's in that thing... I ran out of rev's at about
140mph... he couldn't keep up... He was real pissed, to say the least...
never did see him out on the strip again... :-)
