I called my parts guy: fuel pump assembly (filter included!) for
'97 with a 22 gallon tank capacity is (drum roll please) $265!!!!

The service sheet guestimates 2.40 hours labor.

So, figure $60 * 2.40 (only 1 tech on the sheet)= $144
Fuel pump assmbly = 265
                                                                -------
                                                                   $409
(plus MA state tax)

So, I've paid for about 1/2 of my extended warranty.

I still can't get over the service sheet saying:
"CUSTOMER HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGES RECEIVING ORIGIANL ESTIMATE OF
$87.00 (+TAX)"

Uh, they NEVER called me. I had to call them.
Call 1: Not in garage yet (10am, ok, fine I didn't have an appt)
Call 2: Not in shop yet (12pm)
Call 3: Just brought it in the shop (3pm)
Call 4: Taking it for a test drive. (4.45pm, fiancee on way to
                pick me up)
Me: was it the fuel pump?
        THEM: I dunno
Me: Will you call me when he's done
        THEM: sure
Call 5: It's done. (note: they NEVER called me, this call
was the NEXT DAY at 10 am)
Me: what was the problem, fuel pump?
        THEM: yeah.

What the F**K is up with this??? Customer service MY ASS! No phone
calls, NO ESTIMATE.

My truck is fixed tho.

Anyone in the Lowell MA/Nashua NH/Lawrence MA area, be warned
Tom Manzi Dodge Service needs a lesson on customer care.

It's too bad the place I bought the truck is 50 miles from home,
they KNOW customer service. (Salvadore Dodge in Gardener MA).

OK, I'm off my soap box.

That was the mopar price for the '97 22 gal fuel pump assembly.

(boy I feel better, this is good therapy!)
