Ive been saving this one, but... Last weekend my wife and I were heading up
to Orange county in the R/T. Leo was driving. A maniacal mustang driver
was weaving in and out of traffic like a loon. AND as we got off the
freeway, he gets off and pulls up along side on the two lane offramp. Leo
revs it a little and the light changes. We leap off the light with barely a
scratch, and I hear some gawd awful tire squealing as the Mustang smokes his
50 series meats. We get about 3 cars ahead when agony of agonies, Leo hits
the rev limiter like a ton of bricks, she lets off and the stang catches up,
but then she gets second and the stang falls back again! Next light is a
repeat, all the way down to hitting the limiter, and still beating the
stang. He had obvious suspension mods as well as a flowmaster exhaust
Since We had been beaten at the track by a few mildly modified mustangs this
spank felt good, even though I need to adjust the TV cable... What fun!

This is spank that ended up as a funny story because the turd driver did not
get hurt. Last night I was on my way home, when one of those new Ferds pulls
up on me at a light. He revs his engine...you know the rest. We both take
off. I got an awesome jump, barely chirped the tires. To my amazement, this
guy is a quarter length ahead. By the time we hit around 90, I'm even with
the guy, but I'm not going to slow down until I hit the limiter. Suddenly,
we start coming up to the onramp. My R/T starts to eat up the curve like a
Vette (with a bed on it). I'm now doing about 60 mph and the Turd tries to
match me and fails. I look in my rearview mirror and see all kinds of dirt
and smoke come up in the air. I slowed down, backed up the Dak all the way
back to where the Ferd spun out. I got off to help the guy out, but nothing
happened to him or the truck. He was just a little shaken up (as was I). It
turns out that the guy had a 5.4L with a Paxton at around 7-8 lbs of boost
(sounds familiar). I helped him pull his Ferd out and I went home thanking
my lucky stars that no-one got hurt. My best spank upto date.
