I ran Flowmasters with 2.5" piping straight back.... It sounds nice,
but really close to the stock 3" sound. I didn't want the guy to spend
extra time bending the pipes just to kick them out each side like the
stock on the right. My opinion, the tips I bought give a sweet manly
appearance with the same sound. I haven't heard much from the guy in
town that went with the same set up only to each side behind the
tire..... He went for the extra bending, cuz the 3" stock went to the
side.... I guess everyone wants there own sound and look.

I run a dual 2.5" system w/ 2 chamber Flowmasters w/ dumps right
before the
axle. I get nothing but compliments on it, but it is very, very
loud.. I get
the same number of complaints as I do compliments :) it also
resonates a
rather deep bass note, deep enough to rattle house windows and
the neighbor at
the stop light's rear view mirror.. also loud enough to set off
car alarms @
idle ... WOT is ear splitting, especially after the blower...
I'd hate to hear
a 3" system w/ 2 chamber mufflers... ouch.
