I have to say that the regular cab has 6.5 speakers in the door...
mine are sitting right beside my desk. When I replaced mine with
kenwood hq's, I actually found that the hole was big enough for 8"
speakers. The factorys are mounted to a plastic ring that is then
mounted to the door panel. My problem is that the driver side door
panel vibrates really bad. The others don't, including the 5.25 hq's
I put in the rear little panels
Also, on my better halfs truck, the one with packs and no cats, true
dual, I would have to say it has lost little if any low end. I yanked
a fully(?) loaded 12' uhaul from Lake Charles to Shreveport, La. 2
days ago. I stopped at the scales at my dad's office and tipped them
at 7480#'s. Talk about loud. Those pipes coming straight out of the
back, hitting that covered aluminum trailer going up the interstate
after a wreck with cops all around... just glad they were preoccupied,
an exhaust ticket costs $133.50!!!
