Fellow DMLers, a terrible thing happened to me just minutes ago. I was
coming back from the mall after some last day shopping when I pulled up next
to an old buddy of mine in his 5.0 Mustang; He got his the same year I sold
mine. It (like mine was) is the lighter, faster and more uncommon notchback
style LX,
about a 1990. We ran together through the traffic (80-90) for a while until
we came to a stop light. On the green, I babied it out of the hole because
I've still got on the
235/POS/15 oem's. He got a 2 car jump and kept improving the lead VERY
SLIGHTLY. Next light-
same thing. I gave him a thumb's up and we both went our separate ways.
This has never happened to me!
I had not planned on it but I need more power. I want in on the JBA header
deal! I would like one of Jules' "torquer" TB's, but I'm too skeer'd to mess
with that. And while I'm at it, I may as well get the JetII CHIP and stat.
Damn it! There goes the dogfood budget. BTW the POS tires are on the way out
I had already ordered some General XP2000 275-60-15's. Has anybody ran
these?
Are these tires any good? I know the Dunlop GT/Q's are highly thought of on
the list but I couldn't get them here(that's island life for you).
Hopefully with these mods I can save what's left of my dignity. Boy, what a
way to start Christmas.
