I don't remember the exact details, but here goes. Truckin' did an
article in the new Chrysler Connection column they put out about a year
ago. They said that the Ram in the configuration of: Reg. Cab, long bed,
dual rear wheels, 4.10 Sure-Grip, 8.0 V-10, 5 spd. was the fastest
vehicle Dodge made (excluding Viper). I seem to remember that this was
including the Mopar Performance Package on the Ram, Dakota V8 auto., and
the Neon, but it might have been all stock vehicles. I have been beaten
by a V-10 Ram. It is an ext. cab, auto, dually, all red, all Mopar
Performance parts available (headers, cam, etc.), and a Supercharger on
top of that. He beat me pretty bad, about as bad as my cousins 95 Cobra.
I stopped and talked to him after we raced, he mentioned Magnum
Performance, but said he hadn't taken it to the strip yet. Nice guy, I
have seen his truck around a few times since then. Well, I saw a red
blur anyway... :)
Erich 98 ext. cab V8 5spd.
BTW Isn't Dodge coming out w/ a newer smaller V-10 soon?
