Any good supercharger kit for a specific vehicle should include the
appropriate custom-made chip with it. In general, increasing
performance will raise engine temperature thus increasing the changes
of pinging. Replacing the stock thermostat with an 180 thermostat will
help to prevent pinging.

Currently, the only performance chip available for your year and engine
is from JET.
