The recommended procedure involves preparing an alignment screen
before making the adjustment. It's a bit difficult to describe without
diagrams but I will try.

Alignment Screen Preparation
1. Position truck on a level surface perpendicular to a flat
wall 25' away from front of headlamp (fog) lens.
2. Up 5' from the floor, tape a line on the wall at the
centerline (middle) of the truck. Sight along the
centerline of the truck (from rear of truck forward)
to verify accuracy of the line placement.
3. Rock truck side-to-side 3 times to allow suspension
    to stabilize.
4. Jounce front suspension 3 times by pushing downward
    on front bumper and releasing.
5. Measure distance from the center of the headlamp (fog)
lens to the floor. Transfer measurement to the alignment
screen with tape. Use this line for up/down adjustment
    reference.
6. Measure distance from centerline of the truck to the center
of each headlamp (fog) being aligned. Transfer measurements to
screen with tape to each side of the truck. Use these
    lines for left/right adjustment reference.

Fog Lamp Alignment
A properly aligned fog lamp will project a pattern on the
alignment screen 4" below the fog lamp centerline and
straight ahead. Rotate the adjustment screw to adjust the
beam height...screw should be to the right of the connector
at back of fog lamp.

                          centerline of truck
                               |
                               |
                               |
center of headlamp | center of headlamp
              | | |
------------------------------------------------------------- height of

              | | | to ground
                               |
                               |
               < center of >|<center of >
      --------|----------------------------|---------------- height of
center of fog lamp
truck to | truck to to ground
                 center of | center of
fog lamp lens | fog lamp lens

Headlamp Adjustment
A properly aimed low beam headlamp will project top edge
of high intensity pattern on screen from 2" above to 2"
below headlamp centerline. The side-to-side outboard
edge of high intensity should be from 2" left to 2" right
of the headlamp centerline. "The preferred headlamp alignment
is 1" down for the up/down adjustment and 0 for the left/right
adjustment." High beams are aligned when low beams are aligned
properly. Up/down adjustment screw is located at the top center of
the headlamp. Left/right adjustment screw is located at
bottom corner of headlamp towards the grille.
