Ok, ok... I'm an asshole. I could have said what I had to say without
being so rude. People running around with their fog lights on all the time
is just a pet peeve of mine and I know they really do blind some folks so I
make a point of turning them off when a car approaches. As far as deer go,
whether I'm down in PA (deer central) or up north I've never had difficulty
seeing them with just the headlights on. The fact that fog lights throw a
wider light pattern is precisely my point and reasoning for turning them
off when another vehicle approaches.

The shooting out the fog lights thing was just anecdotal so we can all keep
our pistols in their holsters :-)

The dumbass remark was out of line and uncalled for, my apologies. I guess
we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

I wouldn't say you were being a jerk, just an asshole. If you don't want
to sound like a jerk, don't call me a dumbass. There are deer all over
the roads out here, I leave my driving lights on all the time, even when
I am on the highway. The driving lights tend to go out a little further,
just enough to catch the shine off a deers eye so I can see it. I know I
can use my high beams, but not when there is oncoming traffic. Thank you
for the procedure, but please, next time keep the rude comments to
yourself . Anyone who tries to shoot out my fog lights will get shot
themselves. No bull. Hope you don't plan on visiting Texas soon, we are
a very trigger happy bunch.
