Kick a$$ Kyle! Fun story. I used to play good Samaritan with my Jeep but
we haven't had any snow yet to try it with the Kota.

The log book was a particularly good idea.

Living in NW Indiana and being the nice guy I am, I thought it would be a
nice thing to do to drive around the area looking for stranded motorists
who were stuck in snow or just needed help. I also brought along a notepad
to do some research for myself and those whom are interested. After
shoveling for about 6 hours(22 inches of snow) I warmed my 93 Dakota V6 4x4
with the stock size 235 tires(Dunlop Radial Rover RV's) up and took it out
for a spin. This spin lasted some 4 1/2 hours!
Well anyways here is a lsit of those vehicles I helped extract from snow,
ranging from infront of thier house to being stuck in a snow drift.

1 Izuzu Amigo 4x4 (nasty salmon color!) with 31 inch Yokohama Geolander A/T
2 Newer model Chevy Blazers(4x4) with Goodyear Wranler GSA(235?)....these
were just very poor drivers I think, cause they were buried!
3-98 Ranger 4x4's with Firehawk ATX's....I couldnt help not laugh when one
driver asked me how I wasnt getting stuck, I said its a Dodge. He just
smirked.
1 Newer Chevy Tahoe BFG Trail T/A, this lady was clueless about evreything.
1 GEO Trackler lowerider wanna be 4x4......I really didnt was to stop, but
I saw they had thier 2 small kids outside, in the cold pushing, shows what
kind of people drive those.
2 Grand Cherokees that had Pirelli Scorpions and Michelin LTX. Both drivers
actually said wow I am shocked at how good your truck get around....and one
even said "I bought these tires because they were expensive and the tire shop
told me they were a great traction tire for in snow." But then again, his
wife was wearing a $5,000 fur coat, so I didnt feel sorry for him, loser.
I think this little project just goes to show that you dont need to spend
tons of cash on a 4x4, I mean mine only cost $13,700 and I was pulling out
those in $30,000 vehicles. It also shows how tires really do make a
difference, and dont believe that just becuase the tire is very
expensive(Pirelli) or because its very popular(Michelins), doenst mean it
is a great tire. I love my Dunlops! My Hoosier Radial AT's were good too.
