Exhaust

I've been trying to find a cat back system to fit my truck (98 4x4 V6 SC)
with no luck.

I specifically want a single side exit, like stock. And I would prefer a
Gibson. Unfortunately, they don't make anything for my truck except the
split-dual setup.

So here's my idea, and I'd like to know what you all think:

Buy a Gibson muffler, the model that's 2.5" offset-in, 2.5" offset-out, 19"
long.
Have a local custom exhaust shop fit a new tail pipe. Hopefully, I can find
some place that does mandrel bends. Could they bring a 2.5" pipe up to 3"
with some sort of adapter before it exits?
Finish it off with a Gibson 3.5" tip, for looks.

So do you all think that it'll work, sound, and look good?
