>If we count 1 A. D. as the first year in our time system, you're
>absolutely correct. I've realized this for a number of years, but plan to
>remain silent about it until January 2000. The reason? The "eve of the
>21st century" party is going to be awesome, so I want to enjoy it on Dec
>31, 1999, then remind everybody that we're not really in the new
>millennium, so we have to do it again on Dec 31, 2000.....pretty stupid
>reasoning, I know, but hey....

Iīm hoping to be able to book a vacation in Fiji, on the Intīl date line
for 12/31/00, so I hope a whole lot of people donīt figure this out and
keep the prices as crazy as they are this year!

>Dak content: My Dak is staying in my garage on Dec 31 in both 1999 and
>2000 (no drunk, including me, is going to wreck it)!!

Iīm driving my Dak to my mountain hideaway, and itīs not going to use up
precious gasoline until the lights come back on again -- or a very good
reason arises.
