98 5 speed will coast start

DML'ers, I was under the impression you always had to
depress the clutch to start your engine on all the late
model Dakotas. Coasting downhill and releasing the clutch
in second she fired right up. Did it twice to make sure I
wasn't dreaming. No adverse affects that I can tell.
