My 97 5.2 5spd makes a worrisome (to my wife) noise that sounds like
it's coming from the passenger side of the dash. It sounds like normal
engine wine to me. The best way to describe it, is that it sounds a
little bit like a flying saucer taking off (acceleration)or landing
(decelleration). It is especially noticeable on decelleration. Any one
got a clue what this might be? It doesn't bother me so much, but it
drives my wife crazy, and I'll never hear the end of it until I either
get it fixed, or can explain it to her in terms she can accept. I'm
pretty sure it isn't the odometer cable because the sound doesn't
sound like it's coming from the driver side. Help save my marriage.
