Hello Everyone:

This is among the last updates I'll make for the DML meet in California
this weekend. I'd like to thank everyone for their patience and
understanding. This hasn't been easy to put together, but it looks pretty
good for now.
Below is my current list for individuals interested in coming. Please
update me if you actually aren't coming or want to and are not on this list.
I will be making reservations for Friday's and Saturday's restaurants on
Wednesday. I won't be making reservations for Hearst Castle yet as I don't
know which tour we will be going on at this moment. I have a "guestimated"
cost list for the events at the bottom of this e-mail.

Please fill in any "?'s" for me for those with them listed.

This is the current agenda: (again, changeable at the event)

Friday:
Dinner at 10:00 PM at the Madonna Inn in S.L.O.

Saturday:
Meet at 10AM at Hearst Castle
--(Tour and maybe IMAX movie about "Hearst Castle")
Lunch at Main Street Grille in Cabrillo
--(My Sister-in-Law swears that this is a great place)
Caravan down the Coast, maybe stopping at Morro Rock, Montana De Oro etc...
--(sightseeing)
Drive thru Pismo Beach to Oceano State Off Highway Vehicle Area.
--(4x4's can party on the Dunes, us 4x2's can yak shop)
Dinner at McClintock's SteakHouse in Shell Beach
--(Awesome steaks, world famous place)
Racing about
--(either on the beach like Daytona, or some non-used road.)

Sunday:
Yours to either go home, or stay and hit spots like Solvang, Museums, etc...
etc...

If you have any further ideas, we can discuss them at the meet. Please let
me know if you have any last minute changes up to this Thursday. I won't be
at work Friday as I'm driving up during the day. It takes about 4 hours from
Orange County (if traffic isn't totally awful) to get to SLO. If you plan on
eating at the Madonna Inn with us, try to leave before 6PM. We'll be there
for awhile so I'd say if you come before 11PM you'll still be okay, but that's
a guess.

These are costs associated with the event. I've tried to keep them "down"
but since it's kind of a long event they are there.

Food: (apprx) $55 (depending on how much you eat/drink)
Hearst Castle: $13 (movie may add more)
Oceano: (?, there may be an entry fee, if so, it's usually $5-6 for State
Parks)

Remember, you will have gas and lodging expenses as well. It's up to you
to decide where you will stay and which city you wish to stay in. There are
inexpensive motels as well as good Bed and Breakfast places and Hotels in the
bigger cities like SLO, and Santa Maria etc. I think you can rent cabins in
Avila and other beach towns.

   Let's have some fun!

Shaun H.
