I just put some on this past weekend! I tried to do it without using the impact
to no avail. The impact spins the nut faster "snapping" it loose from the
threads. I've also got the V6 and to make things easier, I removed the fan
shroud and blade before I tried removing the crank bolts.
I definately noticed some gain! Some other people on this list said they
experienced overheating and battery drain and others said they hav had no
problems. I have yet to see either problem although I've only had them on since
Saturday.

I just got some asp pullies for my truck. In the directions it says you must use
an impact wrench to get the alternator pully off. Has anyone put pullies on the
re truck and does it require an imact wrench. Also is the crank pully hard to he
t off too.
