In this months Road&Track there was a write up on the new Charger R/T coming out in '99. It said to the effect that it was a 4-door(even the picture looked great), was going to have REAR WHEEL drive, 5-speed manual, and the new 4.7 engine. BUT, not just any 4.7 litre engine--this baby was gonna be SUPERCHARGED. Talk about having the go juice-this sucker was to crank out around 325 or 375 horses. The R/T had door panels that looked like the Viper's and a fully functional air intake hood that wasn't ram air, but had the air opening reversed(facing rearward)but wasn't a cowl hood(boy that made a lot of sense). The rear wheels were 20 inchers and the fronts were 19's. I just happened to notice it because it was across from the page where Ford was planning on bringing back the T-bird also in '99 that looked like the old '55 thru'57's with the port windows and as a 2-seater.
DAK content: Maybe the new 4.7's might be alright after all--especially with a huffer riding with it???HHHHUUUMMM!
