Hi, all. I was stressing-out about not having a rebate for when my
truck comes, in about a month, and Chrysler Canada (they still call
themselves this, it was in the letter) sent me a $500 voucher/rebate
for my truck. This is because I previously owned a 97 Avenger ES that
I bought new. Right on! They had a real cool deal through Christmas to
Jan. 4 that gave $500 and no GST (goods and service tax, thank Brain
Mulroney you jerk). The GST is 7% and CC takes it off the sticker!
That could have saved me $2000! Plus the 500, and I could have saved
$2500. I already am getting the truck at ~450 over invoice (without
going through the 'net, just good 'ole deaing and shopping around) and
that savings could've bought me a hard tonneau and chopped over $1000
off my loan. But, my truck didn't come in time. :-( Does the US get
this deal to (the $500)? I also found it interesting that they still
call themselves Chrysler Canada.
