Okay.. So H4 hella lights are legal on the highway, right???

55/100watt bulbs AREN'T legal, neither are the H4 lights.
(some newer H4 lights are, but not the 55/100 bulbs)
The spread pattern isn't the problem, it's the fact that they
don't have mounting contacts for correct alignment. Newer
cars fall into this situation, but computerized headlight alignment
for the 'slanted' lights is now available. The H4 55/65 watt
bulbs are legal because their output is with OEM spec for
sealed beam, and other halogen headlights.
