Be sure to find out first whether the track requires an SFI rated helmet.
Such helmets are lined with nomex to protect against fire. Motorcycle
helmets are usually not.

Go to a motorcycle shop (I ride motorcycles) and get
a AGV or KVC Helment for around $150.00 (not much cheaper
than that). Beffe' makes a few $100.00 helmets, but they
aren't as nice (aka comfortable, no removably liner, etc.)
