Any competent should be able to do it in about 5 to 7 hours. Depends how
much stuff they need to move out of the way. All/most of the belt driven
accessories, water pump, timing cover, radiator, A/C condenser. Hopefully
the condenser can be moved our of the way without discharging it.

If you don't mine me asking, how much less did it cost to install
the
        cam
without removing the motor? I've been thinking of having this mod
done
        in the
near future myself. Also, how did the cam affect gas mileage, low,
mid,
        and
upper rpm power, etc? Did you install new valve springs, roller
rockers,
        etc.
        while you were there? Thanks.

I just measured the 318 in my 92 Dak. Front to back is about 22'.
22' from the timing cover area forward is past the front grille.
Radiator, condensor for the A/C,and front trim would also have to
come
        off.

We recently had a "troutman" type event that required some heavy
        disassembly.

We pulled the engine for the cam change.
