You dont have to change it, but since the tranny is fresh and tight, there's
alot of friction in those first thousand miles. You will have metal shavings
in your pan from breaking it in. Well every time you will ever change fluid
you will have shavings, but there may be more shavings than normal the first
time. They can get stuck in valve bodies and accumulate in you cooler (if you
have one). You might want to flush it too. JMHO It worked for me. Now I'll
change it once a year.
