Hmm, that is a thought. We have what they call a tight budget. There
once was a story about a product for our routers.... Supposed to have
all types of management tools and so forth.... unfortunately the total
package we later found to be, Oh my god bat man that price is insane.
It seems the HP management stuff ran close to a grand or something, not
to mention it was missing the import stuff that ran oh gee several
thousand I believe. We were misinformed by one tech, then bent over by
another. We pretty much just tough it out and do it the hard way for
now..... Thanks for the thought, will keep it on my desk for later
use.... Fluke, any relation to multi meters, Ohm, Voltage that sort of
thing..... Man those are sweet meters....

Hey, if it really is a problem, get a Fluke 683 Enterprise
Lanmeter.
I use one at work daily, and can tell you what's wrong, where,
why
and for how long. Got problem a user that you cannot find
physically,
but know the MAC or IP address??? If so, you can generate
traffic
targetted at that MAC address... They'll show up,
calling the help desk "My computer can't see the network..."
We have Switchwizard and Wideareawizard on ours as well, which
lets
us get into the routers and track traffic trends, etc. etc.

Thought I would pass it along,
