He's jacking you around
If he has the actual build date(build order already issued) he can track
status. Once it's built, he gets the VIN and can tell you where it's at.

Subject: DML: Info needed on tracing new Dak...

I hope no one minds that I posted this to both the DML and Dak R/T lists, but
I really need your help.
I ordered a IB loaded CC R/T in mid-November. Estimated build date was 1st
week of January. Actual build date turned out to be Jan. 21. That's probably
good - I really didn't want the UAW boys building my truck so soon after Xmas
& New Years parties; and Jan 21 was a Thurs. which is supposed to be a "good"
build day.
Anyway, this is taking way too long and the dealer is no help. He says it
might be 10 days or 2 weeks or maybe longer from build date 'til it arrives
(this is the 14th day). Also says he has no way to get VIN number or to trace
where it is or when it will be in!
Is he jacking me around or is this right? If he can get the VIN, is there some
way I can trace it? Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Dave Howe
