concerns I've heard expressed on the list regarding automatic transmission
durability, I was just curious. It would seem logical to me to have a
minimum and maximum RPM range (through a controller of some sort), not only
to reduce wear and tear on the transmission, but to avoid bumping into the
rev limiter. As a side question does the factory rev limiter control RPM
via fuel or spark? I would think either could have some pretty exciting
consequences when using nitrous. >>
The nitrous setups have a wide open throttle switch. I have the much superior
auto :-) and just hold er down til they 1/4 is over. I do have a shift kit
which NOS highly recommends and have had no problems with anything in 3 years
of running the juice.I have hit the rev limiter a couple of times with no
adverse effects (I won't elaborate on how but I did). Anyway I have been told
the stock rev limiter cuts fuel to the injectors which couls cause serious
problems if juice kept flowing and I am getting a rpm window switch which will
turn the juice on at set rpm and off at set rpm just below the rev limiter.
