Sam- I assume it's the "Maintenance required" light on , not the check
engine light?
2 ways to reset-
R/R the gauge cluster, replace the little battery, and push reset
button on the back of the cluster (Nobody better dare start up a R/R
thread!!)
Hook a scanner up to it and reset it electronically.
