Just a reminder that the Houston Region of the SCCA is holding an
autocross on Sunday, Feb. 7, at the Hitchcock Blimp Base. For more info,
go to the Houston Region SCCA web site at;
http://www.houscca.com/solo2/solo.html
Try to be there early, NLT (no later than) about 8:30. They are going to
try to adhere to their old schedule of closing registration when the
first driver's meeting is held, which is at 9:30. Hopefully, they have
the timing problems lined out, and the event can proceed in an orderly
fasion.
The Blimp Base is really a great place to have an autocross. The course
is a handling course, but not too tight that larger vehicles are at too
much of a disadvantage. I ran the SS in second gear and Barbara ran the
R/T in drive (with OD switched off) at the last event. We plan to be
there in force, with the 95 SS and the 98 R/T. We hope to see some
familiar faces there, if for no more than to spectate!! The weather
SHOULD be MUCH warmer than it was at the January event. :-)
