Peter,

I've been running a Crane High 6 inductive ignition and their Super Coil
on my '95, 318 for about six months. I'm hesistant to say this in
writing, but I couldn't be happier with the set-up. I was bent on
buying Crane's CD model but their tech rep convinced me otherwise. The
system has been rock solid and has definitely improved start-up and
throttle response. It feels like I've also picked up a few ponies, but
I can't prove it.

I've since added Mopar's SBEC without any problems whatever. These mods
in combination with headers and a cat-back system have definitely put
more omphaa in my 5.2.

I had a Jacobs Omni set-up before and it was nothing but trouble. It is
much easier to install, versus the Crane because you don't have to hack
into OEM the wiring. I also notice some improvement after installing
the Omin Pak but it was highly unreliable., e.g. a flame-out just the
other side of the PA Pike toll booths, in the middle of Philly rush
hour, etc., etc. I eventually chucked it in favor of the Crane system
and haven't looked back since.

I haven't had any personal experience with MSD, other than what I read
in the DML. I recall the reviews as being generally pretty good.

Good luck,

- Gene -
