Gary,
Its not the awd version, they only made 15 of those in the 70s and I cant
find one that is restorable in left hand drive... Its actually a 4 place car
if you have small kids or double amputees (no disrespect to any double
amputees out there, come on down for a ride!) Top speed now is 140mph, but
with a 440 the get up and go doesnt hit until around 40mph due to the 3.07:1
rear ratio... the 500+ cubes ought to help, but im going with a fairly mild
cam to avoid the loss of vacuum accessories (it is a luxury vehicle...)
Slippin in some 3:55s into the Salisbury locker and that 4spd tranny is
gonna give me a 160 mph top and hopefully mid 13 E/Ts! Its gonna be great
to get that beast out at the strip! Have to go lookin for Aston Martins and
Jag XJRs to spank! Too bad no big block for the R/T...

Funny, they don't look that big... it's only a two seater... hell my '68
Charger only tips the scales at ~ 3750 Lbs! But 2T is still relatively
light... the 47RH/E is designed for 15-18K GCWR (truck and trailer) I would
say that you could get good service life out of a 46Rx, and a 47Rx would
slow it down (more rotating mass) It all depends on what you want to do
with the car.. with 500HP, I assume you want to do some racing... the
Interceptor is not the AWD Jensen, right? (I don't know alot about them...
just little snippets I picked up being a Mopar fan)
I still have to get my Charger up here to Colorado (It's at my in-laws in
Phoenix) and get it running again... I'm planning on at least high 11's with
it... but it needs significant work... but the electricals were good when I
stored it ;-)
and it's a 4-speed car... which means a radical cam is no problem!
