Got a dissapointing result from my dyno pulls this am, 180hp & 260
ft/lbs @wheels. Given 25% drivtrain loss, that's only 225hp at the
flywheel. That seems really low for my combo (95 318 auto 4x4; JBA
headers, 14"x3" K&N, MP comp, MSD 8.5's with shitefires, dual cat-back
glasspacks)
The procedure followed was to run in 'D' with O/D cutout, starting at
2000rpm in D, I was to accell as aggresively as possible without
downshifting. Would someone with more experience with chassis dynos'
give me some insight on this?
Oh, and for the record, the dak set the pace for ~7 of the Z-28's over
the 100mi. trip! My speedo's never been on it's second trip around
before :)
