way to go. That man needed help, and sounds like you saved him, Amen.

Howdy Folks:
Funny thing happened the other day while getting fuel for my
black hole of a
gas tank:
A guy rolled up in a early '90's 4 banger dak and asked about my
'97 CC 4x4.
"Do you mind if I ask you some questions about your truck?"
ME: Hell no! what do you want to know?
HIM: I see you have it done up for towing, how is it?
ME: With 2 snowmobiles, I don't even know they are there, I
have a V8
HIM: OH! How is it on gas?
ME: Umm, I'm here, 3 times in two days, of course I put on
about 500 miles,
its about 16MPG.
HIM: I bought a house that came with a boat and I can't pull it
out on the
steep ramp sometimes, I'm thinking
of getting a silverado, extended cab.
ME: Let me show you my back seat! (thinking, I'm the DAK
ambassador again,
oh must be rough to get a
boat with the house, lucky dog!)
HIM: Oh wow! It's a full bench, not the jump seats!
ME: Oh yeah, one of the reasons I got the dak. Do you know
about the DML?
HIM: DML??
ME: It's an internet mailing list, just about dakotas,
performance
modifications, and stuff like that, take a
look at http://www.dakota-truck.net .
HIM: Do you mind me asking how much you paid?
ME: Not at all, around 21k, everything loaded to the hilt
except for PW/PL.
I love showing off my truck. NOW: Where's the stickers Jon!?!
We gotta spread the word. I can't count how many times I've
mentioned the
DML and I've wanted
a sticker to point to and grunt!
