I fixed my broken speedo today. The dealer wanted $270 for a replacement
speedo with correct mileage. I bought the whole instrument cluster for $50
from the local junk yard.
My mileage went from 73K to 160K, but at least I won't get pulled over for
accidently going 85 mph in a 65 again ;) (not all cops are bad, I got a
verbal warning for 20 over)
I took a video of both speedo together showing how the original one was
broke and the mileage on each. Is there anything else I should do to be
able to prove the correct mileage in case I ever need to sell my dak???
(note: I have an extra set of gauges so if anybody needs any gauge other
than the speedo let me know)
