If I were you I would wire it directly to an unswitched fuse, and then put
your own on and off switch to the charger so it won't melt.

THINK ABOUT IT!!! if your charger is constantly plugged in 24-7 your charger
will melt!!! unless you have a cutoff that turns it off when you shut the
truck off, it will melt, been there done that!!

find out from the guys who do installation what they use?? maybe they can
tell
you.
