rear end seal

I'll check today more closely today and see if I can determine exactly
where the oil/fluid/stuff is comming from. If it is coming from the
pinion seal how serious is it. I mean should I get it repaired
immediately or could I put it off a week or two (making sure the diff is

kept at the proper level)

If I do need a new seal would this be a good time to slip in a posi
unit? Do they have to tear the whole rear end out to fix the seal?
Thanks.

-As long as you keep the differential fluid level full, you should be ok
for a little while unless it's really slinging it bad.
-Seal is replaced from outside the unit, doesnt require removing the
cover..
You can say that you gotta check for damage internally, and slide the
posi in then...
