If you want to determine if the oil is coming from your pinion seal, you can
add some oil dye to the axle oil. Drive for awhile and then get a black light
and shine around the seal. If you see any fluorescense, then thats your leak.
You didnt just grease your u-joints did you? They can fling out excess grease
that may look like an oil stain.
Oil dye is "Officially Liscensed by NASCAR" and available at your local parts
store.
