In the 4X4 world they're called "kicker shocks"

Actually, they are more like an angled shock from the axle to the frame.
They work to absorb the torque (or whatever the force is) that causes the
axle to 'wrap up'. I've looked at them before as an alternative to traction
bars, as the Rancho design mounts above the line of the axle & thus would
not (in theory) eliminate the ground clearence in the way traction bars do.
Not a high enough priority for me to have followed thru on it...

Is this the set of bars that attach from the axle to the frame, in parallel
with the frame?

Has anybody had any experiance with those RANCHO "truck traction bars"?
Ya know, the ones that look like torsion bars for the back
tires..............
Good, bad........whatever. I need to get better traction on those rear
tires.
