<<Tom,
Do you think it would help at all that the block/manifolds are warm or cold to
make it easier to get this broken stud out?? I am thinking towards warm, but
then again I am no phsyics guru. Whatcha think, warm or cold; or is it even
gonna matter after being on there for over 100,000 miles!!!!???? I do have
mechanic's gloves so the heat wouldnt be a problem. Thanks again.

Woah! Cold, cold, cold is the way to go! I'm talking dip the block in a pool
of liquid nitrogen if ya' got one lying around! ;-) The cold causes most
materials to shrink in size by causing a reduction in molecular activity
thereby... uhh how 'bout this... ever taken a cold shower and notice...
uhhhhhh, never mind. Look, you'll just have to trust me on this. Cold is
better! :-)
