How about replacing the EGR valve?.......Your hesitation/ Rev problems sound
like a possible bad EGR. Also did you check the Distributor cap for cracks?
With the truck not starting after washing the engine. It could be a crack
letting enough water in to kill distribution to the plugs? Just quick
inexpensive things to look at first. I'm sure there are more knowledgeable
answers from someone on the DML with more "motorhead" abilities then me.
