Hmmmmm... Check the base of the can and make sure it's properly seated on the
top of the throttle body. That's all I can think of. The only time I hear it a
higher speeds is when I'm really on the gas (a throaty roar) or when I'm running
the A/C (kind of a hiss sound which I think is from the IAC "sipping air").

Hi everyone,

I just installed the 10" FABM today. I used the Edelbrock 1208 air
cleaner and made my own "s-bolt", but since no one had the 10x2.5" K&N in
stock, I'm using the 2" paper element that came with the edelbrock for now.
I should have the K&N sometime this week.

After I installed the unit, I noticed that the truck started up much
faster... almost instantly. It also revved alot quicker in neutral. It
responds noticeably better at taking off, and doesn't seem to run out of air
as quickly as before (1st gear lasts longer now). I'm very pleased so far,
and expect to be even more pleased once I get the K&N installed.

One thing that kind of concerns me though, is that when I'm accelerating
somewhat hard, after I shift from 2nd to 3rd I hear an almost squealing type
sound, almost like my clutch is slipping or something similar that wasnt
there with the stock air box. I know that the FABM is noisy, and that you
should hear a 'whistle' sound, but is the sound I'm hearing normal?... It
only does it in 3rd gear.
